by Tom King

DC comics does it again with their greatest mascot. The introduction of Gotham and Gotham Girl are great, especially after the Physco Pirates involvement. There's a lot of struggle and realism found here, along with some of the great things I expect from DC.

I like this book because it teaches me why dragons do not eat spicy salsa. My favorite part of the book was when the dragons spat out a lot of fire.

I did not like the beginning of the book because of the segregation. I like the way Ruby stand up for herself and encouraged children to be kind. I am happy that white and black can go to the same restaurant and same school.

I enjoyed the book immensely. It traces the history of racist ideas and anti-racist ideas from colonization all the way to the modern day. It also challenges the reader to examine his or her own thinking and decide if he or she is carrying around racist ideas. I really enjoyed it, especially in the audio format. The reader is very good.

My favorite part about Mr. Putter and Tabby feed the fish was that Tabby just wanted to bat the fish and Mr. Putter had to put a pillowcase and a giant bucket on top of the fishbowl so Tabby the cat won't back then.
